About this race
Event Overview
Seven Oaks Classical School in Ellettsville, IN is hosting its second annual Travel Trot 5K to raise money for two student trips: our 8th grade trip to Washington D.C., and our high school junior/senior trip to Europe.
Race Details
- Course: A course starting and ending on the campus of Seven Oaks Classical School, offering a chance to enjoy our beautiful local Ellettsville neighborhood home.
- Family-Friendly: Parents are welcome to bring strollers and walk the course with their children.
Participation Categories
- RUN / RUN-WALK: Participants can either run the entire distance or do a combination of running and walking.
- RACE WALK: This is a competitive race walk. Participants must walk the entire distance, with no running allowed at any time.
Registration Information
- On-Site Registration: Opens on race day at 8:45 a.m. in the parking lot of Seven Oaks (200 E Association Street).
- Race Start: Both races begin at 10:00 a.m.
- Registration Pricing:
- Standard Fee: $25 until midnight on Oct. 22, then increases to $30 for Oct. 23 and race day.
- Children's Fee: Just $5 for children up to 9 years of age! (Discount automatically applied at check-out.)
- T-shirts: An additional $5 and only available if you register for the race by Oct. 9.
Awards
Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall finishers, both male and female, in both the run and the walk. In addition, the top male and female finisher in each 10-year age group for the run will receive an award (10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). In the "9 and under" age category for the run, the top 3 male and female finishers will be recognized.
Post-Race Activities
Runners/walkers and community members are invited to stay for a chili and bake sale at the race finish line, along with warm drinks and a chance to visit and play on our newly opened playground.
