• Oldest Event: The Region’s Oldest Running Event!
• First Held: The first York White Rose Run was held in 1977.
• Participants: This family-friendly race has drawn as many as 800+ runners.
• Elite Runners: Known to attract a field of elite runners from local and regional areas.

📆 2025 Running

We are working on an updated course for 2025. It is pending approval with the City of York. Stay tuned!

🌍 Virtual Race

The VIRTUAL race is anywhere/anytime between September 1 and September 30, 2025. You can run anywhere/anytime during the time period, including course maps from previous years. Just run/walk five miles. Once you finish your virtual race, you can upload your results on this site.

👥 Be a Volunteer

With the race running through the city, we need many volunteers, and all volunteers will receive a race t-shirt exactly like the runners’ shirts, along with a good feeling that you are helping a good cause. Most positions allow for easy social distancing and all COVID-19 precautions.
