Scholar Sprint

Race Overview

The Scholar Sprint Races are a One Mile Fun Run, 5K and 10K. This race is sponsored by Argos Dollars for Scholars, and will start and finish in the Argos Community Park, Argos, IN. (Parking is located in the Park, Please use the South entrance into the park, State Road 10 entrance).

  • Fun Run: 8:00 AM
  • 10K: 8:15 AM
  • 5K: 8:30 AM
• Online registration: Open until Friday, June 21, 2025

Registration Information

• Price Increase: When registering after June 5, 2025
• T-shirts: Not guaranteed after June 7, 2025
• Fun Run: Participation medal only, no T-shirts
• Race Day: Registration and packet pick-up will be available at 7:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2025 prior to your race.

Awards

• First and Second Place Medals: Male and Female for 5K & 10K events
• Fun Run: Participant Medals
• 5K Fireman’s Challenge: Traveling trophy awarded to the first-place fireman in the 5K, Fireman Challenge Runners will compete in full fireman gear, including oxygen tanks. Fireman challenge participants will be able to participate in medals based on their finish.
• Age Group Medal Awards: Age Groups: 20-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76-80

Course Descriptions

• One Mile Fun Run: This course is a paved path which winds throughout the Argos Community Park.
• 5K: This is a beautiful flat fast course that travels an out and back loop through the Town of Argos.
• 10K: This course is a flat and fast course winding through the Town of Argos, and through the beautiful countryside of Marshall County.
• Water Stations: Water will be available on the course, and at the race pavilion.

Health and Safety

You are running this race at your own risk to illness and injury. We ask all participants honor social distancing guidelines. If you feel ill, have a cough, temperature, or any other signs of potential illness please do not attend this event. If you have been in close contact with someone that is ill we ask that you do not attend this event. If you have preexisting conditions or health issues you should consult with your physician prior to the event.

About this Race

This race is to support Argos Dollars for Scholars. Argos Dollars for Scholars is a not-for-profit organization comprised of volunteers. Argos Dollars for Scholars raises funds to support scholarships which are awarded to graduating Argos Seniors that wish to pursue a secondary education. Your contribution is tax-deductible, supporting a wonderful organization focused on promoting education and trade skill development.
