The Fittest 5k Race Description
Fitness Racing might be the new thing, but we have been here for 4 years already!
Race Overview
- Infusion: Infusing a classic 5k with functional fitness movements, we have created a fun and challenging race to put you to the test!
- Training: If you are training for a Fitness Race, this is an excellent way to test yourself!
- Structure: Each athlete will complete a 5k split into running sections divided by various fitness tests!
- Accessibility: All fitness movements are meant to be VERY accessible to all fitness levels.
Divisions
- Competitive: The "Competitive" division will have set weights, box heights, etc for men and women.
- Good Time: The "Here for a Good Time" division will allow athletes to choose the weights, heights and movement scales that work best for them throughout the event!
- Participation: Participants may run or walk or any combination of the two for the distance of the 5k.
- Heats: Participants will start in heats of 3-5 staggered by 3 minutes.

- 20 Single DB Lunges 50/40
- 400m Run
- 20 Plate Touches 45/35
- 400m Run
- 20 Burpees
- 800m Run
Weights listed for competitive division (Mens/Womens). Good Time (and youth) division can use weights of your choice, but movements will stay the same.

- Men Competitive: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Women Competitive: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Men Good Time: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Women Good Time: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Men Masters: (50+) 1st Place Competitive
- Women Masters: (50+) 1st place Competitive
- Youth: 1st Place (<18)
Registration Information
Athletes will receive an 'Fittest 5k' tank (mens and women's options)! MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 7th to be guaranteed a shirt!
