JANET R. NOBLITT MOSQUITO CHASE 5K

Event Overview

We're incredibly excited about this year's event!

• Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
• Time: Starts at 8am
• Location: Hutsonville Park, 1000 S Rose St, Hutsonville, IL 62433
• Activities: 5K run, music, raffles, and good company

Registration Details

• Cutoff Date: Registrations received by July 21st are guaranteed a shirt and goodie bag.
• Training: It’ll be here before we know it, so put on your running shoes and get some miles in.
• Preparation: You’ll need the training if you want to keep up!

About Janet R. Noblitt

If you had the privilege of knowing Janet Noblitt, you’ll understand how hard it is to try to summarize the person that she was.

• Career: Janet taught both junior high and high school math for over 28 years.
• Character: Though often seen as strict, she aimed to shape her students into capable adults.
• Family: A devoted wife and mother of three, she also loved her role as "gigi."
• Legacy: Janet coached junior high track and organized the very first Mosquito Chase.

Scholarship Fund

Each year, Janet's family gives a scholarship to a graduating senior or an alumnus from Hutsonville High School in memory of Mom.

• Scholarship Amount: The Janet R. Noblitt Scholarship awards $1000 through the Hutsonville High School Alumni Association.
• Importance: Education was incredibly important to Janet: this honors her passion for teaching.
• Proceeds: All proceeds from the Janet R. Noblitt Mosquito Chase go into this scholarship fund.
• Future Goals: We hope to continue to give this scholarship every May until we are no longer able to financially.
