Master Kim's 5KTKD Scholarship Fundraiser

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: Sunday August 10th, 2025
• Location: Webster Park, 255 Holt Road, Webster, NY
• Events: 5K run/walk and a children’s 1 mile run/walk
• Participation: Everyone is welcome to participate and go at their own pace

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Medals: Awarded to all participants
• Trophies: Special trophies for the winners of all divisions
• Virtual Option: Available for those unable to attend in person
• Packages: Standard package includes a medal: deluxe option includes a medal and event shirt

👦 Children's 1 Mile Run

• Age Group: Designed for children ages 4-12
• Guides: Tiny tiger students (ages 4-6) can bring an adult guide (1 person over 13 years old) for free
• Course Type: Competitive and timed with age level awards
• Safety Rules:
  • Please pass without pushing
  • Be aware of your surroundings - it is a grass course
  • Wear appropriate sports gear - sneakers only on the course

⏰ Schedule of Events

• 8am - 9am: 5K run/walk Check In
• 9am: 5K begins
• 10:30am - 11:30am: Children’s 1 mile run/walk Check In
• 11:30am: Children’s 1 mile begins

🎓 Scholarship Fund

• Purpose: Provides funding for high school students to pursue further education
• Eligibility: Rising Juniors, Seniors, and College freshmen can apply annually
• Fund Allocation: Over $76,000 awarded in scholarships to students demonstrating Taekwondo tenets
• Community Impact: Scholarships reflect students' contributions to the community and Taekwondo
