Northeast Ohio Race for Global Water

Event Overview

Join Ohio American Water Works Association (OAWWA) to raise funds for Water for People, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation. This year's 5K will be October 4th at Rocky River Reservation.

Global Water Crisis

• Access Issues: 1.8 billion people around the world don't have access to safe water.
• Sanitation Deficiency: 2.4 billion lack access to adequate sanitation.
• Time Consumption: Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day.
• Health Impact: More than 840,000 people die each year from water-related diseases.
