The Janus School, Mount Joy PA
Saturday, October 4th, 2025
We are happy to announce that The Janus School will host our second Ginger Goudie Memorial 5K Walk & Run on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at our campus in Mount Joy, PA. This event supports continued excellence in education for students with learning differences and also honors Ginger Goudie, a dear friend and Janus teacher, who died in 2022.
Ginger taught math and post-graduate transition programming at Janus for over 20 years. She was adored by the whole Janus community for her kindness, patience, and ability to transform the lives of all who entered her classroom. We would be delighted if you joined us.
All registered participants (of both the 5k and fun run) will receive a swag bag with various goodies and a shirt (if they've selected that option when registering).
Important note: Registrations received by 9/19 are guaranteed a T-shirt in the size they requested when registering. Registrations received after 9/19 may not receive the T-shirt until after the race.
This course is out and back. One traffic lane will be used for runners, the other will be open for neighborhood traffic. Although every intersection will have volunteers and local authorities, please use caution when approaching intersections. Please do not distract or ask questions to the local authorities. Volunteers along the route are happy to cheer you on and point you in the right direction (if you need it). The course will be clearly mapped with signs, arrows, and some cheering spectators! Please look at the map at the bottom of this page to view the course.
Custom made medals will be awarded to the top male and female in each of the following age groups: < 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+, cementing their place in Janus School history!
Please register online, however, we will accept day of sign-ups and will provide a paper registration form!
Fall Fest begins at 11AM and ends at 1PM. Expect food trucks, a bounce house, fall activities, crafts, and kids’ activities as we celebrate fall and, more importantly, the memory of Ginger Goudie.
Please join us for what will be a wonderful day of community, filled with friends, family, and remembrance.
The proceeds will fund the Ginger Goudie Financial Aid Fund.
