• Race Options: 8K (5 mile) and 2 ½ Mile Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Description

• Community Spirit: Join us for the annual Swarthmore Lions Independence Eve 8K, attracting runners from all over the Delaware Valley.
• Route: The relatively flat 8K route goes through the charming, tree-lined neighborhoods of Swarthmore.
• Walk Option: The 2 ½ Mile Walk route follows the first loop of the 8K.

💖 Charity Support

• Proceeds: Support Lions charities including organizations that assist the visually impaired.
• Beneficiaries: Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Chester, Delaware Valley Eye Bank.

📋 Registration Information

• On-site Registration: Packet pick-up will take place in the Borough Hall lobby from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM on race day.
• Entry Fee: $30 or $35 on race day for both the race and the walk.

🥇 Awards and Refreshments

• Awards: Presented to the first three overall male and female runners and the first three runners in 9 age groups.
• Refreshments: Will be served after the race.
• T-shirts: Tech t-shirts guaranteed to all preregistered runners and walkers while supplies last.
