Howl'oween Trick or Trot 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

The Kiwanis Club of Lima is pleased to sponsor its 7th annual Howl'oween Trick or Trot 5K, Fun Run Walk & Virtual Pet Contest which will take place on October 26, 2025 (A virtual option is available for the races.)

🎃 Proceeds Overview

• Funding Purpose: Proceeds will help fund Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs to benefit the children and residents of Allen County.
• Leadership Development: The Kiwanis Club of Lima works with local school systems to help cultivate young leaders through service with their service leadership clubs at the elementary, middle and high schools.
• Recognition: These clubs are recognized for their work throughout the USA and continue to grow each year.

🐕 Virtual Pet Contest

The Virtual Pet Contest will benefit local animal welfare agencies: The Humane Society of Allen County, Deb's Dogs, and A Lotta Love Pet Rescue.

⏰ Start Times

• Fun Run: Staggered Start - starts at 4:00 P.M.
• 5K: Starts shortly after the Fun Run at 4:20 P.M.

📍 Start Location

West side of Faurot Park on Rosedale Drive - Lima, OH

📅 Race Items Pick-up

• Date: 5pm-6:30pm on October 24 at Allen County Children's Services, 123 West Spring Street, Lima, Ohio 45801
• Race Day: 2:00-3:30pm

💲 Entry Fees

• 5K Early Registration: $27 on or before July 18, 2025.
• 5K Late Registration: $30 after July 18 through October 1st: $35 after October 1st through October 25th: $40 on Race Day.
• Fun Run Fee: $25 on or before September 1, 2025: $30 after.

👕 Race Shirt

Receive a commemorative shirt. Register early and get yours! Registrations received after October 1, 2025 will not have the race shirt included. Limited quantities may be available for purchase on race day.

🐾 Entry Fee Pet Contest

• First Pet: $10 for first pet, $5 for each additional pet.
• Commemorative Shirt: $10 for the same as race shirt: $15 for an additional shirt for family members.
• Facebook Contest: Pet Contest will be on the Kiwanis Club of Lima Facebook Page. Deadline is October 24, 2025.

🏅 Awards

Awards presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and top three in each male and female age group for the 5K: 10 & under, 11-14, and 15-19.
