Howl'oween Trick or Trot 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

Event Overview

The Kiwanis Club of Lima is pleased to sponsor its 8th annual Howl'oween Trick or Trot 5K, Fun Run Walk & Virtual Pet Contest which will take place on October 25, 2026. A virtual option is available for the races. Proceeds will help fund Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs to benefit the children and residents of Allen County.

Impact of the Event

• Local Support: The Kiwanis Club of Lima works with local school systems to help cultivate young leaders through service with their service leadership clubs at the elementary, middle and high schools.
• Recognition: These clubs are recognized for their work throughout the USA and continue to grow each year.
• Pet Contest Purpose: The Virtual Pet Contest will benefit local animal welfare agencies: The Humane Society of Allen County, Deb's Dogs, and A Lotta Love Pet Rescue.

Race Details

• Start Time: Staggered Start - Fun Run starts at 4:00 P.M. and the 5K starts shortly after at 4:20 P.M.
• Start Location: West side of Faurot Park on Rosedale Drive, Lima, OH.
• Race Items Pick-up: 5 PM - 6:30 PM on October 25 at Allen County Children’s Services, 123 West Spring Street, Lima, Ohio 45801, and Race Day from 2:00 - 3:30 PM.

Entry Fees

• 5K Registration: Early Registration on or before August 31st, 2026 - $27: After August 31st - $30: After October 1st - $35: Race Day - $40.
• Fun Run Registration: Early Registration on or before September 1, 2025 - $25: After September 1, 2025 - $30.
• Pet Contest Fee: $10 for first pet: $5 for each additional pet: $10 for commemorative shirt, $15 for additional family members.

Race Shirt & Awards

• Race Shirt: Receive a commemorative shirt. Register early to guarantee yours!
• Awards: Presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top three in each male and female age group for the 5K: 10 & under, 11-14, and 15-19.
