Renner’s Character 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us Saturday, September 20th for The Renner’s Character 5K Run/Walk. Dress up as your favorite character or just be a character and join us for a good time! Wear a costume or just come as you are! We will host a 5k Run and 5k Walk to help support the Renner Theater’s mission in providing quality arts for the community. There is something for everyone! This is a great way to support the arts in Zanesville!

All proceeds raised at the event will ensure that The Renner Theater can continue to provide quality performances and opportunities for our area!

📍 When/Where

• Date: Saturday, September 20th
• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Location: Zane State/OUZ Collegial Woods Trail

🏞️ Race Course

The 5k and fun run begin and end behind Zane State / OUZ by the entrance to the YMCA with a rolling terrain throughout the course. There will be water stations throughout the course and at the finish along with nutrition.

• 5k Race Run: Awards will be issued to top three overall female and male finishers in both divisions.
• Fun Run: The Fun run will not be timed and is a great option for walkers!
• Costume Contest: There will also be a costume contest with awards to the winners.

📝 Race Results

Automatic text and email results will be sent immediately following a participant's finish for those that opt-in. Instant results will also be available on site at the Results Kiosks and at the race website.

🎽 Race Packets and Finish Line Perks

Your race packet will include a custom t-shirt with the official race logo, a memorial run bib, and other sponsor items to be determined. Water and refreshments will be available at the finish.

All participants registered by August 31st are guaranteed t-shirts. Extra t-shirts will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

• 5k Race (timed): Register through August 31st - $25 / Register through Sept. 19th - $30 / Registration the day of the race - $35
• 5k Fun Run/Walk (non-timed): Register through August 31st - $25 / Register through Sept. 19th - $30 / Registration the day of the race - $35
• Donations: All Donations and a portion of the net proceeds from this event will support The Renner Theater.

📅 Early Packet Pick-up

Pre-event packet pick-up will be Friday, September 19th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Renner Theater, 148 N 7th St, Zanesville, OH 43701. Race morning packet pickup starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Shelter house.

🔄 Refund Policy

If we are unable to safely hold an in-person race for any reason, we will automatically convert all registrations to a non-refundable virtual event as opposed to rescheduling. Updates will be posted on the race website.
