WPTLA President's Challenge 5K Run/Walk/Wheel

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

A family and dog friendly event that raises funds for the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers, a local non-profit that supports sports programs for the physically challenged. Free race shirt for all on-time registrants, plus door prize opportunities for participants. Tickets for the Silent Ticket Auction prizes and 50/50 raffle are available for sale at the event.

💰 Registration Fees

• Early registration July 1 – August 26: $25.00
• Late registration August 27 - September 19: $30.00
• Day of Race registration September 20: $40.00
• 18 and Under: $10.00

📦 Registration Packet Pick Up

• Pick up your T-Shirts and Race Bibs (numbers) on Saturday September 20 prior to race start at the registration table.
• Walk-in registration and race check-in for all events closes at 9:50 AM (10 minutes before race start time).
• Children 4 and under will not receive a race bib (number).

🏆 Award Categories

Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each of the following timed categories. There will be no duplicate awards or overall awards in the 5K.

🎟️ Raffles

All proceeds go directly to the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers!

• 50/50 RAFFLE: Tickets for the 50/50 raffle can be purchased the day of the race by cash payment. Winning ticket will be drawn on September 20, 2025 at the end of the event. (If the winner is not present they will be contacted by phone.)
• SILENT TICKET AUCTION - NEW THIS YEAR! Participants can purchase raffle tickets - $10/1 sheet or $15/2 sheets, cash payment - and use them to bid on a wide selection of donated items, gift baskets, and experiences. Each prize will have its own ticket container—you decide which prizes you want to go for and how many tickets to put in the container for each one. At the end of the event, one ticket is drawn for each prize. Winners must be present at time of drawing to receive prize. It’s a great way to get involved, support the charity, and possibly go home with something special!
• DOOR PRIZES: All participants are eligible to win a door prize. Tickets will be drawn after the Awards and Silent Ticket Auction Prizes are given out. Winners must be present at time of drawing to receive prize.
