Purpose of the Event

• Honor: The race honors our past and present veterans.
• Awareness: It raises awareness of the roles veterans play in our university and community.
• Collaboration: Hosted by KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network.
• Community Involvement: Engaging alumni and local veterans in a shared cause.

Race Details

• Route: The 5K usually begins and ends at Memorial Stadium.
• Pathway: Travels through the KU campus past KU’s war memorials.
• Current Start/End Point: The start and end of the race will now be at the Jayhawk Welcome Center.
• Supporting Organizations: Hosted by KU Alumni, Veterans Alumni Network, and the Lt. Gen. William K. Jones Military-Affiliated Student Center.
