KU Vets Day 5K

The annual KU Vets Day 5K, hosted by the KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network, honors our past/present veterans and raises awareness of the roles veterans play in our university and community.

🏃 Race Details

• Date: November 9, 2025
• Location: The Jayhawk Welcome Center, 1266 Oread Avenue, Lawrence, KS
• Start/End: Starting and ending at the KU Welcome Center due to construction at Memorial Stadium
• Course: The 5K usually travels through the KU campus past KU’s war memorials

💰 Proceeds

All proceeds from the Vets Day 5K support the following:

• KU Student Veterans of America: Chapter operations and activities
• KU Veterans Alumni Network: Support for alumni initiatives
• Lt. Gen. William K. Jones Military-Affiliated Student Center: Programs and resources for military-affiliated students
