2026 Sunflower Elementary Community Fun Run/Walk

Event Overview

• Date: April 25, 2026
• Location: 2521 Inverness Dr., Lawrence, KS
• Race URL: Sunflower Elementary Community Fun Run/Walk
• Purpose: To bring the Sunflower Elementary and Lawrence community together to support health, wellness, and connection.

Race Details

• Start Location: Sunflower Elementary School
• Course: Loop circling the Sunflower and Southwest Middle School property, partially off-road on grass and partially on paved sidewalk.
• Loops: Participants can run/walk from one to three loops based on preference.
• Finish Line: Located on the Southwest Middle School track.

Participant Information

• T-shirt: A student-designed t-shirt is included in the entry fee, to be picked up on race day from 7:30 to 8:45 am.
• Payment: Can be made in person via check, cash, or Venmo the morning of the race with a t-shirt included while supplies last.

Race Day Events

• Tot Trot: For Eaglets below 5 years of age.
• Dad Dash: An ever-popular event for participants.
• Raffle Baskets: Tickets can be purchased online ahead of the event or on race day.

Schedule of Events

• 9 am: Tot Trot begins on Sunflower playground blacktop near the gazebo.
• 9:10 - 9:30 am: Dad Dash on Sunflower playground blacktop near the gazebo.
• 9:30 am: Sunflower Fun Run/Walk begins! Starting line will be on the grass near the gaga ball pit.
