5th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K (Feb. 1st 2025 8am)

🐾 Welcome to the Furry Scurry 5K

The Conservancy and Community Trust of South Gulf Cove would like to welcome you to our 5th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K Walk/Run. All ages are welcome to join us for this Dog-Friendly Walk/Run in the South Gulf Cove Community.

🐶 Participate with Your Pet

There will be a special 1.5-mile course for those Dog Walkers that feel the 3.1-mile course is a little too much for the pups. We are excited to be able to put on this Chip Timed event to benefit our local Animal Shelters and Rescues. The proceeds will be donated to the following:

• Englewood Animal Shelter: EARS
• Suncoast Humane Society: Englewood
• German Shepherd Rescue: Punta Gorda
• Labrador Retriever Rescue: Florida

🌭 Post-Race Celebration

We will be grilling up some free hotdogs and supplying some brews after this event to celebrate all the participants. There will be raffles and silent auctions with some great prizes so bring some extra cash.

Packet Pick-up:

• Race Morning: Starting at 6:30 AM
• Early Packet Pick-up: Friday 1/31 from 5-8 PM at 14859 Ingraham Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33981

Race Times:

• Runners: 8:00 AM start
• Dog Walkers: 8:40 AM for the Mutt Strut

🏆 Awards

5K Chip timed Walk/Run—includes a race t-shirt, custom chipped bib, participation medal. The top 3 in all categories will take home an award.

• Categories: M/F Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+), Veteran Grandmasters (70+)
• Age Groups: 9 and under to 80+

• $40.00: After Jan. 5th

This event is done at your leisure. We will mail a finisher medal and t-shirt for those who sign up.
