MGM Runway 5K

🏃‍♂️ MGM Runway 5K Event Details

The MGM Runway 5K is the second annual race hosted by the Montgomery Regional Airport on a closed course on the airfield.

• Date: October 12, 2024
• Location: Montgomery Regional Airport, Montgomery, AL
• Closed Course: Approximately four miles of runway covering Taxiway Bravo, Delta, Echo, and Runway 3-21 south
• Unique Experience: Runners get to be alongside active aircraft for takeoffs and landings

✈️ Participation and Registration

Participants will have a chance to explore the airport grounds, enjoy views of the MGM terminal, and be part of a one-of-a-kind 5K race experience.

• Required Registration: All participants need to register as runners to take part in the event
• Age Guidelines: Children under 14 must be accompanied by a registered adult, while children under 5 can join for free with a registered adult
• Participant Limit: The race will be capped at 500 participants, so early registration is recommended
• Activity: Participants can choose to run or walk the runway during the event
