33rd Annual Virginia Run Turkey Trot

☔️ Weather

• Rain or Shine: We are aware that there is call for rain. This event is a rain or shine event, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the American Boy Project. Should you opt to not run, please know that your registration goes towards a worthy cause.
• Packet Pickup: Should you not wish to run, but still want to come by the Virginia Run Community Association to pick up your shirt, please see the packet pickups times below.
• Awards Ceremony: If the weather remains poor, we will not have an awards ceremony on site, but instead will have the ability to see your placement, in your age group, and pick up your award at the Community Association building, at the conclusion of the race.

• Date: November 28, 2024
• Location: Virginia Run Community Association, 15355 Wetherburn Court, Centreville, VA
• Race Types: 5k run and 3k walk
• Start Times: 5k at 8:00 AM, 3k at 8:05 AM

📅 Packet Pickup

• Wednesday, November 27, 2024: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday, November 28, 2024: 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM
• T-shirts: Will be provided to all 5k participants (and those that purchased) who signed up by November 1st.
• Registration: We will continue to take registrations until 7:30 AM Thursday, so if you know people who still need to sign up, they can register up until that time.

• Tradition: This year, we invite runners and families back to this beloved tradition, where we will gather for a special day of turkey hats, dogs with feathered coats, and the excitement of the race.
• Charity Impact: The Trot has raised roughly 1 million dollars for charity since its inception, making it more than just a race, but a reminder of what really matters.

• Organization: THE AMERICAN BOY PROJECT is a 501c3 dedicated to helping anyone struggling with addiction.
• Compassionate Support: We confront addiction challenges in a compassionate and non-judgemental way.
• Treatment Scholarships: We issue treatment scholarships to candidates with no means, allowing for them to receive or extend the quality help they need.

💵 Registration Fees

• 5k: $40 until 10/31/23: $50 until 11/22/23: $55 on race day
• 3k Walk (Non-Timed): $5 (T-shirts $20 extra)
• T-Shirts: Must be ordered by November 1st to guarantee delivery. After that, the shirts will be first come, first served.
