🧟‍♂️ 5K Zombie Run & One Mile Family Fun Run

The Rotary Club of Morganton will present their First Annual Zombie Run 5K and One Mile Family Fun Run on October 12, 2024 at Catawba Meadows Park in Morganton. The morning will start at 8:30 AM with participant check-in with the Family Fun Run (no Zombies to frighten the kids in the Fun Run) starting at 10:30, and the 5K Zombie Run starting at 11:00. The run will be followed by an After Party at the pavilions at the park.

🧟‍♀️ What is the Zombie Run?

• Velcro Belts: Equipped with 3 flags.
• Zombie Strategy: Runners aim to finish with at least one flag left.
• Prizes: Flags can be turned in for prizes.
• Finishing Strategy: Running fastest may not be the best approach.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 What is the Family Fun Run?

• Event: A shorter distance run/walk for families and friends.

🎉 What happens after the runs?

• After Party: Includes food and music at the starting pavilions.

💸 What is the cost to participate and what is included?

• Zombie Run 5K: Registration starts at $30 and includes a long sleeve T-shirt.
• Registration Increase: Cost goes up to $35 after September 12 and $40 on the day of the event.
• Family Fun Run: Registration is $10 with special gifts for children.

💰 Where do the proceeds go?

• Beneficiaries: Funds raised support local organizations and community service projects.
