• Event: First Annual Zombie Run 5K and One Mile Family Fun Run
• Date: October 11, 2025
• Location: Historic Courthouse Square, Morganton, NC
• Time: Check-in at 9:00 AM, Family Fun Run at 10:30 AM, 5K Zombie Run at 11:00 AM

🎉 Post-Run Celebration

• After Party: Hosted at Courthouse Square
• Food Trucks: Big Daddy's Food Truck, Kountry Girl Bakery, and Arepitas
• Beverages: Zombie beers and Oktoberfest brew from Sidetracked
• Atmosphere: A festive fall celebration with music and fun

🧟 Zombie Run Details

• Objective: Complete a 5K while avoiding Zombies!
• Equipment: Participants receive a Velcro belt with 3 flags
• Strategy: Finish with as many flags as possible while dodging Zombies
• Prizes: Awards for overall winners based on time and flags

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Fun Run

• Distance: A fun alternative for those who prefer not to run 3.1 miles
• Participation: Open to families and friends who want to enjoy the event
• No Zombies: This run is free from Zombie interactions
• Activity: Perfect for running or walking together

💲 Registration Costs

• Zombie Run 5K: Starts at $30, increases to $35 after September 1 and $40 after October 1
• Family Fun Run: Registration cost is $10
• Children's Gift: A special gift for kids 13 and younger
• Inclusion: Registration includes a high-quality long sleeve t-shirt

• Proceeds: Funds raised support community organizations
• Beneficiaries: Burke County Habitat for Humanity and The Enola Group
