Crozet Trails Crew 5K/10k Trail Run + Family Fun Run

Event Overview

This is the major fundraiser for the Crozet Trails Crew, a grassroots community organization whose mission is to simply connect Crozet and Western Albemarle with trails and greenways.

Race Course

• Starting Point: Crozet Park (on festival grounds by pavilions this year)
• Trail Details: Continues on the rustic Crozet trail to the east of the Park, featuring roots, rocks, and ruts
• Finishing Point: Returns to Crozet Park
• Prizes: Overall male and female awards for first, second, and third: first-place winners receive a bridge named in their honor!

Family Fun Run

• Shorter Option: A trail experience starting in Crozet Park
• Path Highlights: Goes by the dog park, turns left on a recent trail extension (~0.75-mile), and returns to the park
• Trails Connection: This section will eventually connect the trail to downtown Crozet
• Registration: Kids under 7 can participate for free if accompanied by a registered participant

10k Trail Race

• Event Limits: Limited number of participants
• Course Journey: Loops by Lickinghole basin and crosses Lickinghole creek (you might get your feet wet)
• Bridge Fundraising: Currently fundraising for a 50-foot bridge to connect the trails
• Donation Request: If you can, please donate to help with the bridge

Post Race Trails Fest

• Location: Finish at Crozet Park's festival grounds and pavilions
• Pancake Breakfast: Made from scratch, sponsored by Great Valu and Yellow Mug Coffee!
• Entertainment: Live music from Susie and the Pistols on the new stage
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go to Crozet Trails Crew

Event Schedule

• Time: 11am - 1pm
• In-Person Registration: At Claudius Crozet Park on October 24th starting at 9:00am
• Packet Pick-Up: Race day signup from 9am - 9:45am at Crozet Park Pavilion
• Additional Pick-Up: Also available on October 22nd at Starr Hill from 6:30-8:30pm: please notify if switching races.
