MIDNIGHT SPECIAL 5K
A Northwestern Ohio New Year's Eve Tradition! Run in the New Year with a race that takes "Two Years to Finish!" (unless you run faster than a 5 minute mile, then it only takes one year!) A 5K race that starts on New Year's Eve at 11:45 PM.
LOCATION
- Venue: Patron Saints Brewery.
- Course: Out and back along the University Parks Trail.
- Starting Point: Back parking lot of Patron Saints.
- Note: The course is not lit: please wear lights.
COST
- Entry Fee: 5K ~ $40
- Discount: TRRC Members receive a $5.00 discount (at checkout).
- Price Increase: $5 increase after December 23, 2025.
- Virtual Option: $55 to run virtually (includes shipping) or $40 (packet pickup only).
Awards
- Categories: Overall Male & Female, Overall Masters Male & Female.
- No Age Group Awards: Only overall awards will be given.
- Incentives: First 160 who register will receive a TRRC headlamp.
- Pint Glass: First 150 who complete the 5K will receive a pint glass.
HOODIE DEADLINE
Guaranteed Hoodie deadline is December 12, 2025. The Hoodie is available in unisex sizing, small - XXlarge.
EVENT DETAILS
- Timing: This is a chip timed event.
- Course Amenities: No water stops along the course: water and snacks at the finish.
- Post-Race: Feel free to bring your own food and hang out afterwards.
- Adult Beverages: Available for purchase at Patron Saints: ID required.
PACKET PICKUP
Early packet pick up and late registration will be on Tuesday, December 30th from 3 PM - 5:45 PM at Second Sole, Levis Commons, Perrysburg. Race day packet pickup starts at 10:30 PM and closes at 11:30 PM.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Online registration only. Registration closes December 31, 2025 at 11:45 PM. If you need to make registration arrangements to pay with a check, please contact the race director at ttucker386@gmail.com at least 10 days before the race.
