• Route: Out and back course
• Course Time Limit: 2 hours and 40 minutes
• Traffic: Course is open to traffic, headphones are discouraged

Give-Away

Shirt order will be placed January 8. After 1/8, inventory on RSU will indicate sizes remaining. No t-shirt: deduct $5.

Awards to the top 3 Overall, age groups, and specialty categories:

• Top Masters: Fastest person age 40 and above
• Grandmasters: Fastest person age 50 and above
• Senior Grandmasters: Fastest person age 60 and above

Grand Prix Points Team Competition

The Oak Ridge 10 and 5 Milers are on the 2026 Team Competition schedule. 2026 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Year’s Day 5K on January 1, 2027. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.

In case of inclement weather, please check the KTC Facebook page or this registration page for updated information. Please see KTC Safety Policy at the bottom of this page for more information. If the race is postponed or cancelled, KTC Staff will email all participants on Friday afternoon before the race.

Training

Looking for a structured training program? Check out KTC's RunKNOX Group! 2025/26 Training is available for both in-person and virtual options. Participants receive weekly emails and have the opportunity to participate in 6 workouts each week: Monday Morning Runs, Tuesday Night Runs, Wednesday Morning Runs, and Saturday Morning Runs. In addition to the runs, there is Functional Mobility Training on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Refreshments

Grab and go post-race snacks will be available.

Race Etiquette

Due to insurance regulations: roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the courses. Headphones are discouraged and it's particularly important on this course as it is narrow and winding, participants run with traffic (vs. against traffic), and the course is open to traffic.
