San Joaquin River Trail Half Marathon & 10K

Race Overview

Come out and run some of the best local trails and a half marathon course that will kick your butt. With approx. 2500' of elevation gain this course won't be your typical stroll in the park. Over 90% single track trail in the foothills, this course could easily become your new favorite. Awards will be given out to top 3 overall Male and Female and 3 deep in age-groups.

Early Bib/Shirt Pickup

• When: Friday, March 6th From 3:30-5:30pm

• When: Saturday, March 7th 6:30-7:50am in the Start Area

Parking Information

• Carpool: Please carpool if possible to help with parking.
• Available Parking: Near the Start/Finish in the Aholul Campground, lower & upper parking lots.
• Parking Restrictions: Do not park in the Equestrian Area: please do not block roads or driveways.
• Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, parking will be available down on Smalley Rd.

Race Start Times

• Half Marathon: 8:00am
• 10K: 8:10am

Course Information

Both the 10K and Half Marathon courses are challenging with steep hills and rough terrain. If you have not run in this area before please know that this course will take you much longer than a road Half Marathon or 10K. With that in mind please plan to carry a handheld water bottle and your preferred nutrition.

• 10K Aid Station: There will be one aid station for the 10K around mile 4 with water, GU Gels, Skratch, and snacks.
• Half Marathon Aid Stations: Mile 4, 6, 9.6, & 11.7.
• Trash Policy: Please make sure any trash stays at the aid station, do not drop it along the course.
• Course Markers: The course will be marked with signs and orange ribbon. Look for the markers.

Awards

• Finishers Medal: Both Half Marathon and 10K Finishers will receive a medal.
• Overall Awards: Awards for Top 3 Overall Male & Female finishers.
• Age Group Awards: 3 deep in 10yr Age Groups for men and women.

Post Race

Once you finish we will have refreshments waiting for you. Please feel free to hang out and enjoy the area and cheer on your fellow runners as they finish.
