Sun City Barry James Memorial 5K and Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Sun City Barry James Memorial 5K and Half Marathon are put on every year by the Hard Core Running Club of Central Washington. They take place on the second Sunday of October at a new location on University Parkway in Terrace Heights, Washington, just east of Yakima.

📍 Race Details

• Date: October 12, 2025
• Location: 650 University Parkway, Yakima, WA
• Start/Finish: Both the 5K and half marathon start and end at Volution Fitness
• Aid Stations: Available at miles 3.5, 7, and 10

🏅 Race Experience

The half marathon is a favorite race of many participants with rolling hills alongside orchards.

💰 Registration Fees

• Hard Core Runner Members: $15
• Non-Members: $20
• Youth Under Age 12: Free
• Cost Increase: Goes up to $22 on October 1st: Day of race entries will be $25.
