Event Details

• Event Name: Wendy's Walk/Run for Hope

• Race Info: Flat and fast 5k utilizing a local rails to trails path.
• Purpose: Money raised goes to help offset the expenses of women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.
• Participants: Competitive walkers & runners welcome as well as casual walkers & runners.

History

• Origin: Started in 2012 by Wendy Ledger to give back to the community that helped her through her breast cancer journey.
• Wendy's Journey: She was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast cancer in 2008 and survived the battle of her life.
• Event Growth: It started simply as a 5k and now includes food vendors, a car show, and a quarter auction.

T-Shirts

• Sizes Available: Adult Small to X-Large along with a No T-Shirt option.
• Registration: Register early for preregistered participants to get a t-shirt, we will have extra available but selections will be limited as we get closer to our event date.
• Deadline: Guaranteed T-Shirt entries before 10/1!

• Age Groups: Top 1 Male and Female in the following Age Groups: 14-Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70-Over
• Competitive Walk: Top 3 Male and Female Overall
• Age Groups: Top 1 Male and Female in the following Age Groups: 14-Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70-Over
