❤️ Purpose of the Race

Join us for our 3rd annual charity race that pays tribute to Pregnancy, Infant, and Child Loss Awareness Month, and supports those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a loved one. This event is a celebration of resilience, compassion, and solidarity, and to remember all those who left us far too soon. We will come together to honor and remember.

💪 Personal Tribute

Chasing Rainbows 5k is in honor of and dedicated to my son, B.B. Collins, who died in 2019 from hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) caused by maternal alloimmunization. Following his death, my family and I received tremendous support from the local OBX Mommy and Me during our time of grieving. Later, as we attempted to wrap our heads around our rare medical condition, the Maternal Alloimmunization Foundation was a guiding light, which eventually led to our Rainbow baby.
