7th DQ Dash for Fireworks 5k & 1m Fun Walk

🎉 History

• Origin: During the Summer of 2017, a public-private collaboration of business owners, Lewes citizens, and representatives of the City of Lewes decided to form an organization to bring official fireworks back to the city of Lewes.
• Purpose: We believe that safe and legal fireworks along our beach is the perfect ending to the Lewes' Old Fashioned Fourth of July festivities, which include games on Second Street, a boat parade on the canal, and the Lewes Doo Dah Parade.
• Go Fourth! was formed to bring this to fruition.
• Management: Go Fourth! is jointly managed by the Go Fourth! committee of volunteers, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lewes. The Go Fourth! Fund donations are tax-deductible.

• Event: We invite you to participate in the 7th annual DQ Dash 5k.
• Cause: This event will benefit the Go 4th Lewes Fireworks Fundraiser.
• Date & Time: Join the Striders at DQ on Sunday, May 18th at 9 am for a fun safe 5k.
• Participation: Run or walk in this event for a great cause!

📝 Race Registration Info

• Early Bird: $25 each through May 11th at midnight
• Race Week: $30 each through May 17th at 10 pm
• Race Day: $35 each from 8-8:50 am

📦 Packet Pickup

• Details: If pre-registration increases over 200 then we will consider an early pickup on the 17th. It will be announced.

🏁 Race Course

• Course: Fast & Flat
• Etiquette: All participants are required to run on the course that is marked with arrows and cones.
• Road Rules: Please stay on the road where it is marked and police are stationed.
• Instructions: Failure to follow these race instructions could result in a disqualification from the event.

Start & Finish & along course near half-way mark.
