Frosty 5K

❄️ Frosty 5K Overview

Same race with a new location! The Frosty 5K is jingling its way back and is slated to be held Dec. 13 on a new course near the Blue Cross and Blue Shield building in Helena. The course will start and end at the BCBSMT building, while taking people through the Mountain View Meadows community. This is an in-person race, but not to worry, there is a virtual option as well. Give yourself an early present and celebrate the holidays by participating in our Frosty 5K.

• Registration Fee: $25
• Participant Cap: 600 people

👕 Race Shirts and Medals

All registered runners will receive a commemorative race shirt, a finisher medal, and race bib. We will reveal the shirt design later this fall.

🏃‍♂️ New Course, Same Fun

Due to how popular the Frosty 5K has become, we are moving the course to give people more room to run and provide a single-loop race. The Frosty 5K now starts and finishes near the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana building, and runners go through the Mountain View Meadows community. Check out the new course by clicking here.

All registration dollars go to support the Caring Foundation of Montana, which helps provide access to preventive health care services to Montanans. These services include vaccines, oral and vision screenings, sports physicals, and other health screenings.

🎉 December Running Fun

Of course you should! It's a great way to cap your fitness goals for the year and give yourself one final push before all those holiday cookies. If you don't want to brave the elements (odds are it will be cold here in Helena) runners can avoid them and run on a treadmill with the virtual option. Or head outside. It's up to you! For those who want to take on whatever Mother Nature brings, here are the details for the in-person run:

• Race Start Time: 1 p.m. with check-in beginning at 12 p.m.
• Starting Location: 3645 Alice Street at the BCBSMT building
• Chip Timing: Provided by Competitive Timing
• Refreshments: Hot chocolate and water at the finish line

• Registration Limit: First 600 runners
• Commemorative Gear: Each runner receives a shirt, medal, and bib
• Virtual Option: Available alongside the in-person race
• Race Date: Dec. 13 at the BCBSMT building with the race starting at 1 p.m.
• Gear Pickup:
  • Dec. 9 at Ten Mile Creek Brewery, from 4-6 p.m.
  • Dec. 11 at the BCBSMT Building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (address is 3645 Alice Street)
  • Dec. 13 at the BCBSMT building from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
• Swag Mailing: Out-of-town virtual race registrations will have their race swag mailed to them the week of Dec. 8.
