Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5k

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

• Event Types: This race consists of the following: Individual, Team Competition, 3 Person Relay and a 5K.

👤 Individual Competition

• Participation: Sign up to participate as an individual. We will have age groups in 5 year increments.

🤝 Team Competition

• Teams: The Sprint Triathlon Team option is included for the 12th year.
• Division: The team competition will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed.
• Format: This is NOT a relay, each team member will do all three components of the Sprint Tri. The overall race times of the three team members will be added together to determine a final team time.
• Awards: The team with the lowest total time in their division will win team trophies. Racers that participate on a team are still eligible for overall and age group awards.

🏅 3 Person Relay

• Format: The Sprint Triathlon 3 Person Relay competition will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed.
• Team Roles: Each Relay member will complete one component of the Sprint Tri.
• Scoring: The three times will be added together to determine a final time.
• Awards: The Relay with the lowest combined time in their division will win the relay competition.

🏃 5K Event

• Open to Everyone: The 5K is open to both runners and walkers and will start at 7:15 a.m.
• Awards: Overall and age group awards will also be given out for the 5K.

⏰ Race Schedule

• Start Times: Race time for the individual, Team and 3 Person Relay will start at 6:45 a.m.
• Transitions: Transitions open at 5:45 a.m. and close at 6:45 a.m.

🏅 Event Details

• Producer: Dallas Athletes Racing will produce the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K.
• Distances: The Sprint Triathlon event distances are: Pool Swim - 200 yards, Bike - 16.3 miles, Run - 3.1 miles.
• 5K Distance: The 5k only event distance is 3.1 miles.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

• Participation: Over 4,000 athletes have participated in the first 16 editions of the Pioneer Power Sprint.
• Beneficiary: Profits from the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K will benefit the TWU soccer team.
• Swag: Competitors in the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K will receive a tech shirt and finisher's medal.
• Fun: The post-race party will feature free food and drink (including the world-famous Dallas Athletes Racing pancakes), awards, giveaways, and vendor booths.
