Carmel/Broad Ripple to Downtown Version

Join us for our favorite long run of the year, "Run the Monon"! Continuing our "rotation" between Downtown versions and exploring the northernmost section from Sheridan - this year we'll be back downtown! We'll park at 295 11th St, Indianapolis IN 46202, load up buses in that parking lot and bus up to our Starts = at the Lowes on 146th/Carmel for the 20-milers or Marrott Park for the 11-milers, then Run/Walk back down to the canal downtown.

📏 Distances

• Available Distances: 20 miles and 11 miles.
• Event Type: This is NOT a race - it is untimed and no traffic restrictions are in place.
• Purpose: A unique chance to get in a long training run with a group of friends.
• Relaxation: Enjoy lunch afterward.

🚗 Parking

We are fortunate to have Parking at 295 11th St, Indianapolis IN 46202.

🚻 Restrooms

• Location: A couple portable restrooms at Marrott Park.
• Availability: Restrooms available at the Lowes Home Improvement store at our 20-mile drop off.

⏰ Arrival Time / Bus Pick-Up

• 20-miler Runners: Arrive starting at 7:00 am to check-in and load the buses. The buses will leave at 7:30 am SHARP!
• 11-mile Walkers: Arrive starting at 7:00 am for a PROMPT early departure at 7:30 am.
• 11-mile Runners: Arrive by 8:20 am. Buses will leave around 8:45 am.
• Starting Lines: 20-milers start at Lowes at 146th in Carmel at approximately 8:00 am: 11-milers start at Marrott Park at approximately 9:00 am.

🍽️ Finish Line / Picnic

Both 20-milers and 11-milers will finish back at the canal downtown. Indy Runners will have boxed lunches for all Run The Monon participants and Volunteers. With an option to just come out for Lunch Only, so even if you are not running, we’d love to have you come out and eat! We will begin eating around 11:00 am.

💰 Cost

• Members: $20 for Indy Runners and Indy Walkers (includes run and lunch): discounts available for local Running Club friends.
• Non-Members: $30 (includes bus, run, and lunch afterward).
• Lunch Only: $10 (available for Indy Runner or non-Indy Runner).

🙌 Volunteers

We need a handful of folks to help us staff a couple water stops along the route. If you are already tapering for your race (or maybe coming back from an injury), or raced already, it’s definitely a fun time seeing everyone and volunteering to help. Lunch is then on us for our Volunteers!
