5K Run for the Rescue

About This Event

• Purpose: All proceeds from the 5K race benefit the Jaffrey Firefighters Company Inc., a fundraising and support organization for the Jaffrey NH Fire Department.
• Community Involvement: The Jaffrey Firefighters Company, Inc., is a volunteer organization made up of the firefighters, their families and members of the community who give their time in support of the Fire Department.
• Funding Needs: This allows the Fire Department to acquire items that cannot be purchased within the town's budget.
• Department Structure: The Jaffrey Fire Department is made up of a full-time Fire Chief and 20 on-call members serving the town of Jaffrey, NH.

Services Provided

• Fire Prevention: Provides essential fire prevention services.
• Fire Suppression: Engaged in fire suppression efforts to protect the community.
• Rescue Operations: Conducts rescue missions when necessary.
• Public Education: Offers educational programs for fire safety awareness.

Race Day Information

• Registration: Day of the race registration will begin at 7:00 AM.
• Race Start: The race will begin at 8:00 AM.

The Course

• Options: Now offering 2 options for trails, however our winners will come from the Woods Trail Category.
• Woods Trail: 5K run/walk mixed cross-country terrain including hard pack trails, wooded terrain, mild hills, and possibly some mud. It is a mostly wide trail. Timed event results will be posted after the race.
• Rail Trail Only: This option will be straight down and back on the rail trail. This is a great option for those who don't enjoy cross country or who would like to push a stroller.
