Howdy, partner! Saddle up and get ready for the wildest race in Texas—the Rodeo Stampede! This ain’t your average foot race: it’s a full-blown adventure through the stunning parks and greenbelts of the Lone Star State. Whether you're a seasoned rodeo pro or just looking to kick up some dust, we’ve got a race distance that’ll fit your fancy:
- Options: 1 mile, 5K, quarter marathon, or half marathon.
- Finisher Medals: All finishers receive a cool Belt Buckle medal that doubles as a genuine belt buckle.
- Shirts: Custom Rodeo Stampede shirt that’s as comfy as a pair of old cowboy boots.
- Costume Contest: Dress up as your finest cowboy or cowgirl for a chance to win awesome prizes.
🎉 Entertainment and Awards
DJ Sasquatch will be spinning the hottest hits to keep the crowd boot scootin' and the energy high. As you cross that finish line, we’ll be there to announce your name and celebrate your hard work.
- Awards: Trophies for the fastest overall male and female in each event.
- Age Group Awards: Recognizing all our stellar runners.
- Kids Dash: For cowpokes aged 10 and under with the Bigfoot Crew cheering them on.
- Photo Ops: Bigfoot will be there for high-fives and great photos!
👗 Cowboy Costume Contest
Get ready to show off your wild west spirit in the Cowboy Costume Contest. Here’s your chance to win some amazing prizes!
- Contest Winner: Only one winner will be chosen based on crowd cheers.
- Amazing Prizes: Free entry to a future Bigfoot race and a Bigfoot prize pack.
- Support: Rally your friends and family to help you win!
- Creativity: Show off your best cowboy, cowgirl, or wild west legend costume.
🏅 Race Distances and Details
Join in on the fun and choose your race distance from the following:
- Kids Dash: About a 50 meter dash for kids 10 and under, includes a tee shirt and medal.
- 1 Mile: Designed for all ages, includes a tee shirt and medal.
- 5K: Chip-timed with overall trophies for finishers and age group awards.
- Quarter Marathon: Chip-timed with Bigfoot trophies for 1st overall finishers and age group awards.
- Half Marathon: A challenging 13.1 mile course with similar awards as the quarter marathon.
⏰ Event Schedule
- Packet Pickup: 7:30-8:45 AM
- Costume Contest: 8:50 AM
- Kids Dash Start: 8:55 AM
- Race Start: 9:00 AM
- Award Announcements: Live and available at the Registration tent after finishing.
👥 Volunteer Opportunities
Help us make this event a success! Volunteers will receive a Bigfoot race shirt, VIP race access, and more.
- Water Station: Assist with water cups and cheer on participants.
- Course Monitors: Help ensure participant safety and cheer on runners.
- Finish Line Helper: Assist with finish line tasks.
- Bigfoot Mascot: Wear our costume to entertain participants.
*Bigfoot races proceed rain, shine, hot, or cold. Packet pickup is always offered for 1.5 hours before the event start time.
