Event Overview

The ODO Gobbler Run & Ruck will take place on November 29, 2025, at 275 Dug Rd, South Glastonbury, CT. For more information about the race, please visit the official race page.

Packet Pick-Up

• When: Friday from 3-5pm at Marathon Sports in Glastonbury.
• Discount: All registrants get 20% Off their purchase during this time!
• Race Day: If you can't make the pick-up on Friday, you can pick up your bib and bowl on race morning in the Big White Tent from 9-9:50am.

Honoring the Memory

• Tribute: This year honors the memory of Sgt. Henry Bender, an Army veteran who was involved with Open Doors Outdoors.
• Community Spirit: Wanda, Henry’s mother, will offer a tribute to Dillon Dupuis, a recent community loss.
• Celebration: The Gobbler Run will celebrate Dillon’s life while remembering Henry's spirit.
• Impact: Both young men touched our community with kindness, courage, and heart.

Race Details

• Type: Burn off Thanksgiving feast calories with an off-road adventure.
• Distances: Choose between 5k or 5-mile runs, with enjoyment at the finish line party.
• Incentives: Participants registering by November 15 receive a bowl and finisher's patch or medal.
• Teams: The four teams with the most registrations can win adidas shoes.

• 5-Mile Start: 10:00am
• 5K Start: 10:15am
• Kids Run: 11:15am
• Ruckers: Encourage adding canned goods for donation to Veterans Basecamp's food pantry.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Role Selection: Volunteers are needed: select your role here.
• Incentives: All volunteers get access to the after party and a chance to win adidas shoes.

Registration Information

• Fees: Registration fee is $40: day of registration is $45.
• Guarantees: Soup bowl & patch/medal not guaranteed for those registering after November 15.
• Kid's Program: The Lil’ Gobblers Activity Program is available for children aged 4+, starting at 10am.
• Cost: The cost for the Kids’ Activity Program is $15/child.
