About this race
Event Overview
We, at the JCC of Greater New Haven, are excited to announce the 15th Murray Lender 5K Bagel Run, will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The JCC is offering babysitting services during all races.
5K USA Track & Field Certified 5K course winding through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of Woodbridge.
Starting Line
Location: 360 Amity Road, Woodbridge - JCC Campus near JCC Day Camps' entrance.
Alternative Activities
Participate: Want to take part in the day's festivities, but don't want to commit to a 5K?
- Options: Try our two-mile Family Fitness Walk or come early for the Kids Costume Race.
- Encouragement: Groups are encouraged to participate in all three events.
- Free T-shirts: Free race event t-shirts are provided to all pre-registered participants of both the 5K and Family Fit Walk who register before September 1, 2026.
- Discount: Save 20% off of race day registration fees by registering before August 24, 2026.

- 9:30 AM: 5K Race on USATF Certified Course
- 9:30 AM: 2 Mile Family Fitness Walk/Run
- 10:30 AM: Bagel Breakfast and awards
Post-Race Block Party
- Sale: Sidewalk sale by Woodbridge Running Company
- Prizes: Prizes for top three men and women overall and in each age group
- Medals: Bagel medals for all participants
- Food: Bagels and cream cheese from Katz's Deli
- Treats: Delicious kosher and non-kosher goodies
- Costumes: Costumes encouraged
- Pets: Dogs allowed!

Enjoy FREE on-site pre-and post-run massages and trainer-assisted stretching!
FREE on-site babysitting will also be available from 9-11 AM for children ages 2-8.
