What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk?
- Purpose: Created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter.
- Mission: Honor all lives lost on September 11, 2001, and support first responders and military personnel.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run, Walk, & Climb – Bridgeport?
- Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
- Participation: Welcoming both walkers and runners.
What is the best time to register?
- Timing: The best time to register is always RIGHT NOW.
- Price Increases: Prices increase one week after registration opens, one month before the event, and on race day.
What is the age limit?
- Limit: There is no age limit: all are welcome!
Is there parking available?
- Carpool: Please carpool if possible.
- Parking Areas: Park in residential areas surrounding Ellsworth Park where public parking is permitted.
- Port 5 Club: No parking will be available at the Port 5 Club.
Where can I pick up my packet?
- Early Pick-Up: At the Port 5 Club (69 Brewster Street) on October 15 and 16 from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.
- Event Day: Packet pick-up on October 17 from 6:45 am - 8:15 am.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
- Authorization: Yes, they must present a copy of your registration receipt.
- Gratitude: Don’t forget to thank them!
Do I have to wear my bib number?
- Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
- Policy: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?
- Positioning: Runners predicting a faster pace may make their way to the front.
- Hint: Arrive early for better positioning.
Will the event be timed?
- Timing: Yes, the event will be timed.
- Self-Timing: You are welcome to use a smartphone or watch to track your own time.
Will water be available?
- Water Stations: A water station will be available along the route.
- Start/Finish: Water will also be available at the start/finish.
- Hydration: Please hydrate before the event starts or bring your own water.
Will there be food at the event?
- Local Vendors: We are working with local vendors to provide food on-site at the event.
What can you bring to the event?
- Responsibility: You are responsible for all personal belongings.
- Secure Storage: Please leave anything you do not want to run/walk with securely locked in your vehicle.
Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc?
- Allowed: You can participate with a stroller, wheelchair, and/or backpack.
- Not Allowed: No roller blades, bicycles, or pets.
- Owner's Risk: T2T will not be responsible for the loss of any items.
What should I wear if I am participating?
- Attire: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Patriotic Colors: We encourage wearing red, white, and blue.
- Military/First Responders: Wear your gear/uniform or anything signifying your service.
How can my company/organization sponsor this event?

Where does all the money raised get allocated?
- Foundation Support: All funds raised will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
- Program Allocation: 93% of donations go directly into programs aiding fallen first responders and veteran families.
If I win an award and am not present for the award ceremony, where can I pick it up?

As a participant, can I fundraise/encourage others to donate?
- Fundraising: Yes! Direction will be provided once you are registered.
