What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk?
- Purpose: Honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a firefighter who died on September 11, 2001.
- Support: Fundraising to assist first responders and military personnel.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run, Walk, & Climb – Bridgeport?
- Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
- Participation: You are welcome to walk or run this event.
What is the best time to register?
- Timing: The best time to register is always RIGHT NOW.
- Price Increases: Fees increase one week after registration opens, one month before the event, and on race day.
What is the age limit?
- Age Policy: There is no age limit.
- Welcome: All are welcome!
Is there parking available?
- Carpool: Please carpool if you can.
- Public Parking: Park in residential areas surrounding Ellsworth Park where permitted.
- No Parking: Parking will not be available at the Port 5 Club.
Where can I pick up my packet?
- Early Pick-Up: At Port 5 Club on October 15 and 16 from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.
- Event Day: Packet pick-up on Saturday, October 17 from 6:45 am - 8:15 am.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
- Authorization: Yes, they can pick it up.
- Receipt: They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Do I have to wear my bib number?
- Display: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
- Course Rule: Those without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?
- Front Line: Runners predicting a faster pace may move to the front based on space availability.
- Arrive Early: Hint: arrive early!
Will the event be timed?
- Timing: Yes, the event will be timed.
- Device: You are welcome to use a smartphone or watch to keep track of your time.
Will water be available?
- Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route.
- Start/Finish: Water will also be available at the start/finish.
- Hydration: Please hydrate before the event and consider bringing water with you.
Will there be food at the event?
- Local Vendors: We are working with local vendors to provide food on-site.
What can you bring to the event?
- Personal Belongings: You are responsible for all of your personal belongings.
- Valuables: Please leave anything you do not want to run/walk with locked securely in your vehicle.
Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc?
- Allowed: You can participate with a stroller, wheelchair, and/or backpack.
- Not Allowed: No roller blades, bicycles, or pets.
- Storage: Please store all items securely at your own risk.
What should I wear if I am participating?
- Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Patriotic Colors: We encourage everyone to wear red, white, and blue!
- Military Gear: Military and first responders should wear their gear/uniform or signify their branch.
