Kirby Derby

Race Overview

Participating in the Kirby Derby is a great way to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle while having fun. All the proceeds go to the development of the Wellness Trail provided by the Kirby Foundation. For more information and online registration click on the links above.

Important Dates

• T-shirt deadline: 11:59pm cst on April 3, 2026!
• Registration open until: 7:30am on race morning.
• Switching events deadline: 12pm the day before the race.
• Race date: May 2, 2026.

Registration Details

Please note that there will be no cash registration available at the park on race morning. Same day registration will be completed on your mobile device.

Bib and shirt pickup will be Friday from 4-5:30pm or on race morning 6:45-7:45am. Both will take place at the park pavilion.

Race Day Schedule

• Announcements and National Anthem: 7:45am.
• Race start: Promptly at 8am.
• Course status: Not a closed course: community is informed to use alternate routes.
• Volunteer support: At every intersection to help guide participants and stop oncoming traffic.

Water Stations

We will have two water stations available this year:

• First stop: By Nick's Park.
• Second stop: By Monticello Laundry (10K runners will pass this stop twice).

Award Ceremony

The 5K award ceremony will start at approximately 9am with the 10K awards immediately following.
