GE Vernova Cross Country 6k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 2024 GE Vernova Cross Country 6k Race will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 8:30 am. This is a Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield event.

📍 Location

This event is located on the GEV campus off of Garlington Road. We are excited to welcome you all to the new and improved campus! The address is 300 Garlington Road, Greenville SC 29615.

• Entrance: Please enter the property from Garlington Road Entrance C.
• Parking: Park in the parking lot immediately past Bouchillion Drive, where the start line is located.
• Road Closure: Feaster Road WILL BE CLOSED, so please ensure you are entering campus from the north entrance.

📝 Registration Details

Online registration is $15 through RunSignup, and starts on August 17th. Prices increase to $20 on September 28th at 12PM. Race day registration is from 7 - 8AM and is $25 CASH ONLY.

• Check-in: Packet pickup for all racers will be the morning of the race from 7 - 8:15AM.

🏞️ Course Information

See the course map, attached. This is a 6k cross country race on a closed course. There will be no cars allowed on Bouchillion Drive on race day.

• Surface: The course will be on pavement, grass, gravel, and dirt with some minor hills.
• Safety: All large roots, rocks, and holes will be well marked with cones and caution tape for safety purposes.

Socks will be provided to each participant, and each age group winner will receive a prize! Individual awards are for the top 3 finishers in the following categories:

• Masters (40+ years) Male
• Masters Female
• Grandmasters (50+ years) Male
• Grandmasters Female
• Senior Grandmasters (60+ years) Male
• Senior Grandmasters Female

ℹ️ Important Updates

• 3 OCT: For Admin purposes, changing date temporarily to 15 November until we are able to finalize alternatives - we do not want the RSU deadlines for the start of the race to be triggered. Registration has been closed until details are finalized. We are also working on options to allow participants to defer/transfer the registrations if the race does not occur.
• 2 OCT: RACE WILL NOT OCCUR ON 5 OCT!!! We are working on alternates. Information sent to participants via email.
• 30 Sept: With the devastating impact of Helene to our upstate, we are currently assessing the situation to finalize if our event will have to be postponed or cancelled.
