Run Muskegon's Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

About the Race

• Tradition: The Muskegon Turkey Trot has been a community tradition for over a decade.
• Family-friendly: This fun run & walk is the perfect way to jumpstart Thanksgiving morning.
• Festive: Get festive, wear a costume and earn that extra slice of pie.

Registration

• Deadline: Registration is online and will close at 8:45 on Thanksgiving day.
• Fee: We request a $10 donation plus a food item from the Kid's Food Basket wish list for each Turkey Trot participant.
• Kids Fun Run: The kids fun run is FREE and no donation is necessary.
• Weather Policy: The race will take place no matter what the weather is. Rain, Snow or Shine.

Bib Pick-Up

Race Day morning starting at 8am - 8:50 am at Pigeon Hill Brewers Lounge.

Parking

• Available Locations: Parking at The Mart Dock, Downtown Muskegon, and the City of Muskegon Parking Lot.
• Restricted Access: Pigeon Hill's parking lot will be closed for the event.

Course

The start/finish is at Pigeon Hill Brewers Lounge. The route heads west on the Lakeshore Bike Trail toward Adelaide Point. Participants will return back to the Brewers Lounge following the same route in reverse. An optional "Turkey Leg" route for a challenge adds 0.4 miles of distance to your run/walk, with volunteers providing directions.

Water Station

There will be a water station at the 1.5 mile turnaround.

Bathrooms

There will be bathrooms outside and inside the Brewers Lounge. None on the 5k course.

Run Muskegon is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage and help community members live a more active lifestyle. We give back to the community in many ways, including scholarships to Muskegon Community & Baker College, supporting community events, and partnering with other non-profits that support a healthy lifestyle.
