PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Annual PV Schools Community 5K Fun Run will be held on February 1, 2025, at Horizon High School. Our goal is to raise awareness and encourage district employees, their families, and the community they serve, to live a healthy, active lifestyle. You must be at the event to receive your t-shirt.

🔍 Registration Information

• School Selection: PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHOOSE A SCHOOL/SITE WHEN YOU REGISTER. EACH RACE PARTICIPANT NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED TO A SCHOOL/SITE SO THAT LOCATION HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!
• Refunds: NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
• Start Time: Runners/walkers will not be allowed to start more than 5 minutes past the start time at 9:15 for safety and contractual reasons.
• T-Shirt Sizes: T-shirts will be provided in sizes S to XXL, with a limited number of youth sizes. Please register by January 17th, 2025, to guarantee a race t-shirt.

🗓️ Event Schedule and Activities

• 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Registration/ Check in
• 8:45 AM: Welcome Announcement
• 9:00 AM: Kids Dash (kids ages 10 and under) & Health Fair Begins in gymnasium
• 9:15 AM: 5k Starts

🏁 Course Information

Runners will exit the Horizon HS football field south at the back gate and head east on Nisbet Rd up to Greenway Rd. Runners/Walkers will proceed down 64th St to Acoma then up 56th St back to Nisbet to reenter and finish on the field. There are 2 aid stations on the course: One is on 64th St just south of Greenway. The other is at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street.

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in each age division:

• 8-12
• 13-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70+

📣 Spectator Information

We welcome spectators to cheer on our runners! Furry friends will not be allowed in the event or on the field/premises for safety reasons. Community Members: You are welcome, so please join us!
