Neches River Festival will be hosting their 7th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk.
📅 Event Details
- Course: Flat course through Downtown Beaumont, suitable for experienced runners and kids alike.
- Refreshments: Light refreshments before and after the race, with water stations along the route.
- Custom Medals: All participants will receive custom race medals.
- Awards: The 5K overall male and female winners will receive an additional prize, and the top three males and females in each age group will receive an additional winner’s medal.
💰 Registration Fees
Early Online Registration (until February 1, 2026):
- 1M: Kids ages 12 and under - $10 (No Race Shirt)
- 5K: 18 and under - $20.00
- 5K: 19 and over - $30.00
Late Online Registration (February 2nd - February 21st, 2026):
- 5K: 18 and under - $25.00
- 5K: 19 and over - $35.00

- Top Overall: Male & Female
- Age Group: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female in each age group

🏛️ Description of Organization
The Neches River Festival, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, to promote a sense of community identity and heritage as well as the education of local students through community events, and through regular contributions to the Otho-Plummer/Neches River Festival Scholarship at Lamar University. The proceeds from this race are used to fund college scholarships that directly impact the youth of our community.

Neches River Festival provides a cultural, educational, and civic opportunity for participating students and is open to anyone, regardless of ethnicity or financial background. We are proud of our diverse group of student participants each year who represent each high school in Beaumont, Texas.
