Location: Exygon Health and Fitness Club located at 6450 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, TX 77706

Thursday, February 19th - 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, February 20th - 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Race day pickup is also available. Please allow extra time.
Event: Neches River Festival will be hosting their 7th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk
Race Format: There will be a kids 1 Mile Fun Run starting at 8:30 am with the 5K race beginning at 9:00 am.
Course: This is a flat course through Downtown Beaumont and is suitable for experienced runners and kids alike.
Refreshments: There will be light refreshments before and after the race and water stations along the race route.
Medals: All participants will receive custom race medals. The 5K overall male and female winners will receive an additional prize and the top three males and females in each age group will receive an additional winner’s medal.
1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc. 70+
Categories: Top Overall Male & Female plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female in each age group
Mission: The Neches River Festival, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, to promote a sense of community identity and heritage as well as the education of local students through community events, and through regular contributions to the Otho-Plummer/Neches River Festival Scholarship at Lamar University. The proceeds from this race are used to fund college scholarships that directly impact the youth of our community.
Impact: Neches River Festival provides a cultural, educational, and civic opportunity for participating students, and is open to anyone, regardless of ethnicity or financial background. We are proud of our diverse group of student participants each year who represent each high school in Beaumont, Texas.
