Run Thru Reston

🏃‍♂️Race Overview

The Reston Runners are hosting the 13th annual Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K on Sunday, April 26, 2026, 7:30 AM.

• Course: The racecourse has some rolling hills on beautiful, paved trails.
• Support: The course will be well marked and lined with friendly and supportive volunteers to boost your spirits along the way.
• Start Times: Half Marathon will start at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K start at 7:45 am.
• Finish Line: Both races will finish on the track at South Lakes HS.

👟Race Details

The 5K race is perfect for walkers and families who are there to support their half marathon runner. We do not allow pets or strollers on the course.

• Post-Race Feast: We provide an extensive post-race feast for all race participants and volunteers.
• Course Support: The courses are amply supported with eager volunteers, porta-potties (for the Half Marathon), race-course water, and Gatorade.
• Race Shirt: Runners and volunteers receive a technical race shirt and other goodies at packet pick up.
• Shirt Guarantee: Race shirts are guaranteed to participants if they register by April 1, 2025.

💰Registration Fees

• Half Marathon: Through November 30: $85: December 1-31: $90: January 1-March 31: $95: April 1-Race Day: $100.
• 5K: Through November 30: $40: December 1-31: $45: January 1-Race Day (April 26): $50.
• Half Marathon Perks: Participants will receive a custom bib, commemorative technical shirt, car seat cover, and finisher medal.
• 5K Perks: Participants will receive a custom bib, technical race shirt, and finisher medal.

Online registration will remain open through Race Day, April 26 at 7:00 am. All registration must be completed online. There will be no late/race day paper registration.

📅Packet Pickup

• Pre-Race: Saturday, April 25, 10:00 am-2:00 pm at South Lakes HS (11400 South Lakes Dr., Reston, VA 20191).
• Race Day: Sunday, April 26 starting at 6:00 am at South Lakes HS.

🏆Awards

Awards will be given for the Half Marathon and 5K:

• Overall Winners: Top 3 overall Male & Female winners.
• Age Groups: Top 3 male & female finishers in each of the following age groups: Under 15 (for 5K only), 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 & Over.
• Eligibility: Runners are eligible for a single award.
