🏃♂️ Race Overview
The Reston Runners are hosting the 13th annual Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 7:30 AM.
🌳 Course Details
- Course Type: The racecourse has some rolling hills on beautiful, paved trails.
- Support: The course will be well marked and lined with friendly and supportive volunteers.
- Start Times: Half Marathon will start at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K start at 7:45 am.
- Finish Line: Both races will finish on the track at South Lakes HS.
👨👩👧 5K Race Info
- Family Friendly: The 5K race is perfect for walkers and families who are there to support their half marathon runner.
- Pets and Strollers: We do not allow pets or strollers on the course.
- Post-Race Feast: We provide an extensive post-race feast for all participants, volunteers and their families.
- Support Services: The courses are amply supported with eager volunteers, porta-potties, race-course water, and Gatorade.
💰 Registration Fees
- Half Marathon: Through November 30: $85, December 1 through December 31: $90, January 1 through March 31: $95, April 1 through Race Day: $100.
- 5K: Through November 30: $40, December 1 through December 31: $45, January 1 through Race Day (April 27): $50.
- Registration Benefits: Half Marathon participants will receive a custom bib, commemorative technical shirt, and finisher medal.
- Online Registration: Online registration will remain open through Race Day, April 26 at 7:00 am.
📅 Packet Pickup
- Date and Time: Saturday, April 25, 10:00 am-2:00 pm at South Lakes HS (11400 South Lakes Dr., Reston, VA 20191).
- Race Day Pickup: Sunday, April 26 starting at 6:00 am at South Lakes HS.
🏆 Awards
- Overall Awards: Top 3 overall Male & Female winners.
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 male & female finishers in age groups: Under 15 (5K only), 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 & Over.
- Eligibility: Runners are eligible for a single award.
