SOME's Trot for Hunger

Every Mile Matters. Every Step Gives.

D.C.’s largest and only Turkey Trot is more than a race—it’s a tradition of compassion and community. On Thanksgiving morning, join thousands of neighbors at Freedom Plaza for SOME’s 25th Annual Trot for Hunger 5K and Little Turkey 1-Miler.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with family, or cheering from the sidelines, every stride fuels change. Together, we’ll transform a holiday run into hope for our community—supporting meals, housing, healthcare, and job training for those most in need.

• In-Person Race & Festival: Join us at Freedom Plaza on November 26, 2026 - Thanksgiving morning - for a timed 5K, the Little Turkey 1-Miler, and a family-friendly finisher festival!
• Virtual Race: From November 1-30, run a 5K from your neighborhood or local park while raising funds and spreading awareness of SOME's mission! Help us reach all 50 states and expand our global participation!

This Thanksgiving, let’s make every mile matter.
