Tuckahoe 25K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Distance: 25k, 15.5 miles (keep in mind these are trails and distances may vary from your GPS watch)

🌳 Course Details

• Experience: This is a great middle distance race for those wanting to experience trail running for the first time as well as for those wanting a fast race experience.
• Trail Type: These trails are not technical or rocky, featuring a modified large loop and a shorter out and back.
• Terrain: Course is almost all trails, including single track and wider horse trails. It is completely flat.
• Conditions: Be ready to possibly fall and get dirty. Be prepared for any and all weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, mud, and possible freezing conditions.

⏰ Cutoff Time

• Final Cutoff: The final cutoff time for this event is 4 hours (11:30 am).
• Slow Pace: Runners will be expected to carry the slowest pace possible throughout the entire course.
• Race Management: If a runner falls significantly behind pace, The Tuckahoe Crew reserves the right to pull a runner from the race at any time and anywhere on the course.

🚰 Aid Stations

• Well-Stocked: There will be two well-stocked aid stations with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and experienced volunteers.
• Real Food: We will also have real food at the aid stations (something sweet and something salty).

🌧️ Weather Policy

• No Rain Date: There is NO rain date. We WILL run in the rain, snow, and sleet.
• Cancellation Policy: Only a “force majeure” which makes EMS, Aid stations, and support staff unable to function will be cause for cancellation.
• No Refunds: In the event of a cancellation, no refunds or credits will be applied to future events.

• Top Finishers: Awards for the top three men and top three women.
• Participant Swag: Swag for all participants!

🌍 Event Background

The Tuckahoe 25k is part of The Algonquin Ultras Inc. nonprofit family of races. Algonquin Ultras is a community-based, eco-friendly, volunteer-supported organization whose mission is to promote, maintain, and increase trails on Delmarva. We work closely with Maryland Parks and Maryland Forest to provide safe, fun, exciting races. The Centreville Crushers is a Running Club that loves to run epic events all across Delmarva and the country! They are excited to share their trails with all of you!
