The Big Easy is BACK in Little Elm for its 12th year on February 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm!

Join us for your Cajun favorites, including:

• Mardi Gras-themed 5K: An exciting run event.
• Crawfish boil: Enjoy boiled crawfish, a local delicacy.
• Live music: Enjoy performances by SPAZMATICS.
• Fun contests: Participate in engaging activities and programming.

Participate in our themed games and contests, including the King Cake Eating!

Sign up for our 5K and fun walk!

• Open to all ages: Everyone can join in the fun.
• Participant goodies: Each participant will receive a t-shirt, and the first 1,000 registered participants will receive a finishers' medal.
• Awards: Best dressed female, male, and krewe awards.

Parking Information

• Free parking: Available for participants who pick up their race-day packet in advance.

Event Schedule

• 5:00 pm: 1K Fun Run starts.
• 5:15 pm: 5K starts.
• 6:15 pm: 5K awards begin + PARTY!

Packet Pick Up Info

• Location: The Elm Hotel, 301 E Eldorado Pkwy.
• Pick Up Times:
• Thursday, February 26: 1:00–8:00 p.m.
• Friday, February 27: 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, February 28: 3:45 p.m.–4:45 p.m.

Awards

Overall Male & Female Award and Masters Male & Female Award will be given. The breakdown of age groups will start with:

• 10 & under
• 11-14
• 15-19
• 20-24
• 25-29
• Up to 80+

All awards are based on chip time. Awards will not be mailed out after the event.

Weather Policy

Race is rain or shine!

For safety reasons, we reserve the right to modify or cancel a race in the event of severe weather. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be taken to ensure the athletes' safety.

In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour, and alterations may be made to protect participants. If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the organizer and local authorities.
