• Date: February 1, 2025
• Location: 1662 Springfield Ave, Maplewood, NJ
• Course: Challenging with thrilling downhills and challenging uphills
• Timing: Chip timed by Second Wind Race Timing

Join us in-person or virtually at the One Mile Fox run on February 1, 2025! This race will be a fun, healthy, family-friendly, and walker-friendly way to kick off the New Year! Heats will be time-seeded for safety and excitement.

💵 REGISTRATION

• Fees: $20 ($18 for SOMA Fox Running Club members), $10 for youth (<14 years)
• Deadline: Prices increase by $5 after January 25th
• Bibs: Bib transfers permitted: email somafoxrunningclub@gmail.com
• Incentives: Adult runners receive orange gloves, youth receive medals

We believe healthy choices should be available to everyone! Therefore, 25% of the profits from this race will be donated to our charity partner, Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity (MEND), bringing fresh, healthy food to our food-insecure neighbors in Essex County.

• Date: January 31 from 4-6pm
• Location: General Store Shops & Cafe, Maplewood, NJ
• Race Day: Also available from 9-9:50am

• Heat 1: 10:00 AM, 14+ years, <9:00 min/mile
• Heat 2: 10:20 AM, Youth ages 2-8
• Heat 3: 10:40 AM, Youth ages 9-13
• Heat 4: 11:00 AM, 14+ years, >9:00 min/mile

Awards Ceremony, 11:20 AM.

• Categories: 1st overall prizes for Male, Female, Open
• Age Groups: Top 3 in 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+
• Chip Timing: Winners determined by chip timing for in-person racers only
• Medals: All youth participants will receive medals

• Facilities: First aid station, sponsors tables, team tables, post-race refreshments

You can affiliate with a team when you join – if your team has 10 or more registered runners, we will give you a space at race headquarters for a table or a tent! You don’t need to be an official running team or club – you are welcome to form a team of family, friends, co-workers, whatever – just for this race! If you don’t see your team listed, please reach out to somafoxrunningclub@gmail.com and we will happily add you in!

🏅 SOMA FOX RUNNING CLUB

The SOMA Fox Running Club (SFRC) was established in 2021 as a 501c3 non-profit organization in New Jersey, serving South Orange / Maplewood and the surrounding towns. We are a member organization of Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

Our mission is to promote and extend the joys of running to our community through group workouts, camaraderie, runner-to-runner support, and hosting local races and events. We welcome all levels of runners from absolute beginners to the highly experienced or super speedy. We welcome runners ages 18 and up, all genders, and all backgrounds.
