3rd Annual Lover's Lane Valentine Boardwalk 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join the Seashore Striders for their opening event of the new year with a 5k out and back course beginning on the boardwalk and running north to the turn-a-round at Gordon's Pond, Cape Henlopen State Park. Join the fun as we have the traditional individual 5k division.

👶 Kids Fun Run

KIDS 1/4 MILE FUN "CUPID" RUN IS FREE WITH NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED AND NO TSHIRT.... At 9:50 am the kids will race 200m north on the boardwalk and 200m south to the finish line as the 5k runners gather by the finish and cheer on the young runners.

• Race Time: Kids Dash @ 9:50 and 5k at 10 am.

• Cost:
  • $30.00 Early-Registration through February 9th at midnight
  • $35.00 Race Week from February 10th at 12:01 am - February 14th at 10:00 pm.
  • $40.00 Race Day "Last Chance" February 15th from 8:30 am - 9:45 am

  Please Note that expenses in Rehoboth Beach (Police, Bandstand & Permit Fees) are higher than other locations so we have no choice but to raise our event registration fee. We thank you for your understanding.

🚦 Race Course

3.11 mile out & back course from the Boardwalk at Rehoboth Avenue to the entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park at Gordon's Pond.

🛑 Course Etiquette

• ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES.
• PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED.
• FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER.

🎖 Awards

• 5k Individual Awards...Overall Male & Female, Master Male & Female, and top 3 finishers in 10 year age groups from 9 & U to 70 & O

🚗 Race Parking

Parking will be on Rehoboth Avenue for this event and meters are not in effect.

🤔 Refunds/Deferral

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:

1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.
2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.
3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.
