15th Annual City Manager’s 5K Walk & Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The first annual City Manager’s 5K Walk & Run, now affectionally referred to as the CM5K, was organized by the City of San Antonio’s newly developed Wellness Division in 2007 to encourage healthy activity among employees and their families. Hosted at Brackenridge Park, the first CM5K brought together 561 participants who celebrated the City’s new commitment to their health and wellbeing.

📈 Growth of the Event

• Exponential Growth: Since 2007 the CM5K has grown exponentially.
• Community Involvement: Originally focused solely on City employees, now open to the community.
• Relocation: Moved to various venues due to increasing participation, including Sea World of San Antonio and Brackenridge Park.
• Record Participation: Notable high participation numbers in 2022 and 2024.

💳 Registration Fees

• COSA Employees: FREE (COSA ID required).
• Family and Friends: $5.00 per person + online fees.
• Community Participants: $10 early bird, $15 regular, $20 race day (+ online fees).
• Included: Registration, chip timing, and event t-shirt (COSA employees only).

🏅 Awards

• Top Male/Female: Recognized for overall best performances.
• Top Master Male/Female: Awards for those over 40.
• Top 3 by Age: Awards for males/females in various age divisions.

🚗 Parking Options

Free parking will be available for participants in the SeaWorld San Antonio parking lot at 10500 SeaWorld Dr, San Antonio, TX 78251. Cost: FREE.

📝 Schedule of Events

• 6:30 am: Packet pickup and onsite registration begins.
• 7:30 am: Opening ceremonies.
• 8:00 am: Race start.
• 10:30 am: SeaWorld opens to the public.
