🎉 Race Celebration

Join the Seashore Striders for one of our longest running events at the shore- the Masser 5 Miler. Kicking off the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series of 2025, this year's Masser 5 miler will be a 'live' event. The Masser 5 miler is named after one of the founders of the Summer Championship Series, the Late Dr. Lee Masser of Crofton, MD. The Masser 5 miler is a flat & fast course run mostly on bike trails through the Town of Lewes with little traffic. The race will start and finish at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes inside Legends Stadium. Come celebrate what Doc Masser has done for Running & Racing at the Beach and join the Striders for the Masser 5 miler.

📝 Race Registration

• $30.00 "Early Bird" Registration: through May 11th at midnight.
• $35.00 "Pre" Registration: May 12th through May 24th at 10 pm.
• $40.00 "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration: Registration will open at 6:00 am and will close at 7:15 am.
• Registration Details: Registration will be done online through runsignup. All participants registered by Monday, May 19th will be guaranteed a t-shirt, while registrations received after May 19th are "first come". Registration can also be done through the mail by printing out the universal entry form, including payment, and mailing to Seashore Striders C/O Masser 5 Miler, 9 Gander Lane: Lewes, DE. 19958. Please mail early so that it arrives by Monday, May 19th to secure your shirt.

   • "The easiest & most popular way to register for Seashore Strider events."
2. MAIL-IN REGISTRATION: form can be downloaded from SeashoreStriders.com on the Masser 5 Miler Page.
   • Please fill out the form completely & neatly, double checking Age, Gender, Entry Fee Price (some events have different fees) & Event Choice.
   • Mail completed paper registration to: Seashore Striders: 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE. 19958.
   • Please mail so it arrives by Monday of Race Week to be guaranteed we receive it before race-day. Make checks payable to “Seashore Striders.”

🚦 Course Etiquette

• Participants Are Required: All participants are required to run on the course that is marked with arrows and cones.
• Stay on the Road: Please stay on the road where it is marked and police are stationed.
• Racing Guidelines: Do not race on the sidewalk, run through private property, or run on the opposite side of the road.
• Cooperation Needed: Failure to follow these race instructions could result in a disqualification from the event. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. RACE DIRECTOR TIM-SS

🚫 Safety Regulations

• Bikes: Bikes are not allowed to be on the course riding along/pacing any registered runner.
• Non-registered Runners: Bandits (non-registered) runners are not allowed to be in the race running along/pacing any registered runner.
• Headphones: Headphones/ear pods are discouraged wearing in both ears due to safety of hearing traffic.
• Compliance Request: Please cooperate for the safety of all participants.

🛡️ Safe Running

The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the Masser 5 Miler and discourage the gathering of runners for this event. Please stay more than 6' from each other if running with someone. Important Guidelines

⏱️ Race Timing

Seashore Strider Event Production Inc will use the Chronotrack B Chip which will be attached to the rear of your race bib. The bib needs to be worn on the front visible to the race workers at the finish line. Please do not bend the bib at any time as it may damage the timing chip.

Multi-colored quality tech T-shirt, Safe Water Stops along the course (2m & 3.5m), Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.,” Post-Race awards ceremony following the final runner & A RUNNING GOOD TIME.

🏅 Awards

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, then 5-year age groups through 80+. If you miss the awards ceremony you may pick up locally in Lewes at 9 Gander Lane, Lewes or if you are out of town, your award will be shipped to you for a cost of $10 to cover postage. We do take Venmo.

🔄 Refunds/Deferral

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy: however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:

• Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.
• Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.
• Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.
