COME CELEBRATE THE 32ND ANNUAL MASSER 5 MILER

Join the Seashore Striders for one of our longest running events at the shore- the Masser 5 Miler. Kicking off the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series of 2025, this year's Masser 5 miler will be a 'live' event. The Masser 5 miler is named after one of the founders of the Summer Championship Series, the Late Dr. Lee Masser of Crofton, MD. The Masser 5 miler is a flat & fast course run mostly on bike trails through the Town of Lewes with little traffic. The race will start and finish at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes inside Legends Stadium. Come celebrate what Doc Masser has done for Running & Racing at the Beach and join the Striders for the Masser 5 miler.

📝 Race Registration

• Early Bird Registration: $30.00 through May 11th at midnight
• Pre Registration: $35.00 from May 12th through May 24th at 10 pm
• Last Chance Race-Day Registration: $40.00 (Registration will open at 6:00 am and will close at 7:15 am)
• Online Registration: Registration will be done online through runsignup. All participants registered by Monday, May 19th will be guaranteed a t-shirt, while registrations received after May 19th are "first come."

Registration can also be done through the mail by printing out the universal entry form, filling it out, including payment, and mailing to Seashore Striders C/O Masser 5 Miler, 9 Gander Lane: Lewes, DE. 19958. Please mail early so that it arrives by Monday, May 19th to secure your shirt.

🚦 Course Etiquette

• Course Rules: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES.
• Stay Safe: PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED.
• Compliance: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT.

🤝 Safe Running & Racing

The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the Masser 5 Miler and discourage the gathering of runners for this event. Please stay more than 6' from each other if running with someone. Read more about safe running.

⏱️ Race Timing

Race Timing: Seashore Strider Event Production Inc will use the Chronotrack B Chip which will be attached to the rear of your race bib. The bib needs to be worn on the front visible to the race workers at the finish line. Please do not bend the bib at any time as it may damage the timing chip.

🎽 Race Amenities

Race Amenities: Multi-colored quality tech T-shirt, Safe Water Stops along the course (2m & 3.5m), Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.,” Post-Race awards ceremony following the final runner & A RUNNING GOOD TIME.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, then 5-year age groups through 80+. If you miss the awards ceremony you may pick up locally in Lewes at 9 Gander Lane, Lewes or if you are out of town, your award will be shipped to you for a cost of $10 to cover postage.

🔄 Refunds/Deferral

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options: 1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year. 2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program. 3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event. Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders.

🏁 Championship Series Info

• No Extra Fee: There is no extra fee to enter the Championship Series- just the regular entry fee per race.
• Qualification: To QUALIFY for the Championship Series one must complete one (1) 5 mile race, five (5) 5k's, and at least one "Strider Be Kind Good Deeds" activity.
• Final Standings: The Final series standings is determined by fastest 5 mile race and 5 fastest 5ks.
• Weekly Standings: Series Weekly Standings will be posted at www.seashorestriders.com.
