Race Overview

Start the NEW YEAR off on the right foot and join the Pine Belt Pacers for a cool 12K (7.46 miles) Run or 6K (3.73 miles) Walk! What a great way to Run (or Walk) into the New Year!

Course Details

Flat and Fast: Both courses are out and back on the Longleaf Trace.
Start Location: Both races start just East of Jackson Pavilion.
12K Turnaround: Just west of Clyde Depot.
6K Turnaround: Just west of Lake Thoreau Road.

Aid Stations

First Aid Station: Located at the 6K Walk turnaround.
Second Aid Station: Located at the 12K Run turnaround.

Race Apparel

Race Sweatshirts: Register by December 18, 2024, to be guaranteed a Race Sweatshirt!
Add-On Sweatshirts: Available during registration for $30.00.
Price Increase: Additional charge for 2XL or 3XL sizes.

Race Awards

12K Run Awards: 1st Male and Female, Overall, Master, and Grandmaster.
Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for various age categories.
6K Walk Awards: Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female.

Packet Pickup

Early Pickup: Tuesday, December 31, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Location: Breland Community Center, 79 Jackson Road, Hattiesburg, MS 39402.
Contents: Bibs, sweatshirts, swag bags, and add-ons.
Proxy Pickup: Someone can pick up your packet for you if necessary.

Race Day

Onsite Pickup: Begins at 6:30 a.m. on Race Day.
Location: Same as early pickup at the Breland Community Center.

Registration Information

Online registration closes at 11:59 pm (CDT) on Monday, December 30.

Last Minute Registration: Available at Packet Pickup for $50.00.

Post Race After Party

Head on over to the Breland Community Center for the Post Race After Party. Post race food will be traditional New Year's Day black-eyed peas, greens, and cornbread. There will also be door prizes!
