🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club (RHLW Lions Club) is proud to host the annual Diabetes Run for Life on Saturday, April 25th, 2026.

💖 Support Our Cause

• Proceeds: The net proceeds help support The Lions Club’s efforts on behalf of Type I Childhood Diabetes.
• Camp Sweet Escape: The funds raised by "Run For Life" allow the Lions Club to sponsor children with Type I Diabetes to go to Camp Sweet Escape.
• Purpose: The camp is designed to help the children understand how to live and thrive with this frightening disease.
• Community Impact: River Hills / Lake Wylie Lions Club is one of the largest and most active Lions Clubs in the Carolinas, supporting over 30 charities.

🏞️ Event Details

• Location: The event will start and end in beautiful Camp Thunderbird adjacent to the River Hills.
• Activities: It will include a 5K and 10K Runs and a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk, eye examination and diabetes screening stations, and the author of the award-winning diabetes book “Sweetie”.
• Course Features: Runners will love the challenging course that offers rolling hills, tree-lined roads, lake and golf course views.
• Family Friendly: Families will be able to walk a course that offers stroller-friendly sidewalks to make their day enjoyable.
