Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

About the Event
Annual Event: This will be our 2nd Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Riverside and we are excited to grow the community’s commitment to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Collaboration: This event is put on in conjunction with CalFire, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and the Ben Clark Training Center.

Location: Ben Clark Training Center, 16921 Bundy Ave., Riverside, CA
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Packet Pickup Information
Morning Pickup: Packet pick up will be available on the morning of the event (3/21/2026) at the Ben Clark Training Center beginning at 7am.
Pre-Event Pickup: Packet pick up will also be available at the Moreno Valley College of Public Safety in the afternoon on Friday, March 20th.
T-Shirts: Yes, T-shirts are guaranteed to all participants who register before March 1st, 2026.
Registration Details
Day of Registration: Registration will open at 7am the morning of the run at the Ben Clark Training Center. You'll save time and money if you register in advance.
Shirt Availability: We may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
Parking and Logistics
Parking: Yes. There is plenty of parking at the Ben Clark Training Center.
Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. The bib number is how we record the time.
Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).
Awards: Award medals will be given to the top three men/women, boys/girls under 18, and the top 3 first responders running in their turnout gear.
Water and Items
Water Stations: Yes, water will be available at the start line/finish line and at the crossover section of the course by miles 1 and 2.5.
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted, but we ask that those with strollers start towards the back.
Personal Items: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.
Fundraising and Donations
Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Packet Pickup for Others: Yes, they can. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Post-Race Donations: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
Sponsorship: Please send all sponsorship correspondence to riversiderun@t2t.org with your contact information.
