Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

🎉 Event Overview
Annual Event: This will be our 2nd Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Riverside and we are excited to grow the community’s commitment to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Collaboration: This event is put on in conjunction with CalFire, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and the Ben Clark Training Center.
📏 How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.

📦 Packet Pickup
Morning Pickup: Packet pick up will be available on the morning of the event (3/21/2026) at the Ben Clark Training Center beginning at 7am.
Afternoon Pickup: At the Moreno Valley College of Public Safety in the afternoon on Friday, March 20th.
Pre-event Info: Please check back for information on a pre-event day packet pick up hours as the event date approaches!
T-shirt Guarantee: Yes, T-shirts are guaranteed to all participants who register before March 1st, 2026.
📝 Registration Information
Day-of Registration: Yes. Registration will open at 7am the morning of the run at the Ben Clark Training Center.
Early Registration Benefits: You’ll save time and money if you register in advance. In addition, if you wait to register we may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
🚗 Parking
Availability: Yes. There is plenty of parking at the Ben Clark Training Center.
🏅 Bib Number Requirement
Display: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. The bib number is how we record the time.
Course Policy: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
🏃♂️ Runner Seeding
Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).
🏆 Awards
Categories: Award medals will be given to the top three men/women, boys/girls under 18, and the top 3 first responders running in their turnout gear.
💧 Water Stations
Availability: Yes, water will be available at the start line/finish line and at the crossover section of the course by miles 1 and 2.5.
🛒 Allowed Items
Permitted: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted, but we ask that those with strollers start towards the back.
Backpacks: Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Valuables: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.
💰 Fundraising and Donations
Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Packet Pickup: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet for you if they present a copy of your registration receipt.
Donation After Race: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

Company Sponsorship: Please send all sponsorship correspondence to riversiderun@t2t.org with your contact information and someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
Goods or Services: You can contact us at riversiderun@t2t.org We make every effort to keep costs down to allow us to give the most to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s programs.

Fundraising Page: Yes! Once you are registered, you will be given directions to start your own fundraising page and you will be able to accept donations online.

💵 Refund Policy
Refund Information: We do not provide refunds for the event regardless if you cannot make the date or the foundation needs to cancel the event for extenuating circumstances. Registration may be transferred to another person.
👥 Volunteering
How to Volunteer: It's simple, either register online or email us at riversiderun@t2t.org and we will reply within 24 hours.
Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are always needed for the day of festivities. Thank you!
📧 Receipts
Email Receipts: When you register online you should automatically receive a receipt via email.
🚑 Medical Staff
On-Site EMS: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site. There is also radio communication available on the course to help communicate with the EMS.
